Moving into residential care
A smoother transition, from the very start
We understand that moving from one’s own home into residential care can be emotional. Our aim is to make the transition as smooth as possible, taking time to listen to every client and their family before care begins.
Your pre-assessment visit
A member of staff, usually the Care Manager, will visit you at home to talk through your hopes and wishes with you and your family. We will discuss your usual routine, food preferences, medication and the hobbies you enjoy.
Dementia care
Care shaped around the whole person
Our dementia care begins with the person’s full life story, not simply how they are presenting today. We take time to understand previous hobbies, interests, relationships, familiar phrases and routines, then respond to changing needs with empathy, care and consideration.
Specialist support
Experience through every stage
Our team supports people living with dementia at early, middle and later stages. Dementia-specific learning begins during induction and continues through hands-on environmental training, skills checks, refresher sessions and professional development.
Families are invited into care planning from the first assessment onwards, helping us build a detailed picture of the person and keep personalised support up to date.
